Here I will show you how to create a manual backup of your boot volume.

1. First login to your Oracle Cloud account.
2. In the search on top type boot volume
3. Click on the boot volume that you want to backup, in my example the instance is named WordPress.

4. On the bottom left click Boot Volume Backups>>Create Boot Volume Backup

5. Name your backup, keeping Full Backup as type and click Create Boot Volume Backup.

It will take a few minutes to create your backup and then it will become available. If you need to create a new instance from a backup someday you would need to view the backup volume and create a boot volume from the backup. Once the boot volume is created you can launch a new instance from that boot volume. You can use this method and have 5 backup boot volumes.
