Here I will show you how to create a manual backup of your boot volume.
- First login to your Oracle Cloud account.
- In the search on top type boot volume
- Click on the boot volume that you want to backup, in my example the instance is named WordPress.
4. On the bottom left click Boot Volume Backups>>Create Boot Volume Backup
5. Name your backup, keeping Full Backup as type and click Create Boot Volume Backup.
It will take a few minutes to create your backup and then it will become available. If you need to create a new instance from a backup someday you would need to view the backup volume and create a boot volume from the backup. Once the boot volume is created you can launch a new instance from that boot volume. You can use this method and have 5 backup boot volumes.
