First Install the UpdraftPlus plugin, From WordPress, go to Plugins>>Add New
Click Install now, and then Activate to add to your to your active plugins.
Next go to you plugin , you will find the plugin under your main settings.
Now for configuring a WordPress backup to S3 compatible, click on “Settings” and choose S3 compatible for type.
Here is where you will need to have a StorJ account setup, if you don’t already head over to
https://us1.storj.io/signup to get started for free.
Setup your first bucket by going to Objects, in my example below I chose the word “backup” for the bucket name.
Now go access, and create a new access grant.
Name your credential, in my case I used “backup”
Permission choose just the bucket you created earlier, then click Next.
Enter your encryption passphase, Next
Now important, do not click done, but click on Generate S3 Gateway Credentials.
Click Generate credentials
Then copy Access key, Secret Key, and Endpoint to somewhere safe like your password database. Then click Done
Now go back to your UpdraftPlus settings, and put in your S3 Access Key, Secret Key, bucket name, and endpoint like below.
Now you can Test your S3 Settings, if you did all the steps you should get a success.
If your good there I recommend now adjusting the schedule to the following, which will provide daily backups and retain 2 weeks worth of backups.
Click Save and you should be good, to verify that your backups are there, head back over to https://us1.storj.io and login and go to your bucket, you should see your backup files.
I am using this to backup my site and it works really well.
